This role involves identifying and pursuing opportunities related to energy efficiency and CEE projects. You should have the ability to oversee the development and implementation of energy efficiency projects, ensuring they are completed in a timely and successful manner. You should understand the regulatory landscape and compliance requirements related to energy efficiency and the CEE program. We are looking for someone to develop themselves and grow with the company to become a key team player.

You will be focusing on the Certificats d'économies d'énergie (CEE), responsible for driving business growth and success within the CEE market. You will conduct comprehensive market and regulatory analysis, identifying potential clients, partners, and market trends. Through client outreach, you will engage with energy providers, large energy consumers, and eligible sellers and building strong business relationships. You will oversee the development and implementation of energy efficiency projects, ensuring compliance with CEE program regulations. Financial analysis is crucial, to conduct cost-benefit assessments to demonstrate the financial benefits of energy-saving initiatives. Reporting, documentation, and continuous learning about energy-saving technologies and best practices complete the role.

As a Business Developer CEE, your role encompasses end-to-end project management, starting from the conceptual stage to successful implementation and CEE certificate deposition. You thrive in handling technical and intricate solutions, especially in industrial utilities and specific projects, while ensuring effective monitoring of their progress.

The role will consist of, but not limited to, the following actions on a daily basis:

  • Communicate daily with your teams’ customers and needs
  • Conduct local market research on the CEE market and follow the evolution of the regulatory environment
  • Approach new clients and build long term relationships with energy efficiency companies, large industrials, project contractors, etc
  • Create new commodity deal structures meeting Caely and your clients’ needs
  • Be responsible of the CEE generation process

In order to be considered for the role you will meet the following:

  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in a relevant field such as energy management, environmental studies, engineering, business administration or a related discipline
  • Must possess an entrepreneurial mindset. Able to work independently, and take initiative to drive business development and energy-saving projects effectively.
  • Strong understanding of energy efficiency principles, technologies, and practices, as well as familiarity with the CEE program and its regulations.
  • Strong networking skills to establish and maintain relationships with clients, energy providers, eligible sellers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Native speaker in French and good level of English
  • 2-5 year’s experience in commodities trading, brokering, business development preferably in the energy or industrial sectors
  • Self-starter, motivated and eager to develop your skills and become a knowledge leader in the environmental commodity industry
  • Articulate, precise and excellent communication skills (giving and receiving feedback)
  • Climate Advocate and have a drive to leave the world in a better place
  • Advanced excel skills is considered a plus
  • Living or willing to relocate to Amsterdam, The Netherlands for at least 12 months
