The Human Resources Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's human capital by providing guidance, expertise, and support in various HR functions. They contribute to the overall success of the organization by ensuring a positive work environment, attracting and retaining top talent, and fostering employee growth and development.

  • Recruitment and Selection: Collaborate with hiring managers to determine staffing needs, create job descriptions, and facilitate the recruitment process. Conduct interviews, assess candidates, and make recommendations for selection. Ensure compliance with legal and organizational requirements throughout the hiring process.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing their concerns, and providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employment-related issues. Mediate conflicts and assist in resolving disputes. Promote positive employee relations through effective communication and proactive initiatives. Coordinating, facilitating and guiding HR processes such as onboarding, performance management and development, absenteeism, payroll mutations, 30% ruling, visa, and leave.
  • Performance Management: Support the performance appraisal process by providing guidance to managers and employees on goal setting, performance feedback, and development plans. Assist in the implementation of performance improvement initiatives and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate the development and delivery of training programs. Collaborate with managers to create career development plans for employees. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance training and development initiatives.
  • Policy Implementation: Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures across the organization. Assist in the development and implementation of new policies and programs. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • HR Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, benefits information, and performance evaluations. Prepare HR reports and analyse data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements. Handle administrative tasks, such as preparing employment contracts and managing employee benefits.
  • Payments/Payrolling: managing and administering payroll activities, including 30% ruling.
  • Compliance: Stay informed about relevant labour laws, regulations, and industry standards. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, such as equal employment opportunity and workplace safety guidelines. Provide guidance to management and employees on compliance-related matters.

In order to be considered for the role you will meet the following:

  • At least 4 years of experience in similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a human resources role, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
  • Confident and motivated self-starter with a serving attitude.
  • Accurate and precise with excellent communication skills.
  • Advanced excel skills is considered a plus.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. Any other language is a plus.
  • Living and working in/around Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
